The start of the 12th edition of the Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe solo Transatlantic race from Saint Malo to Guadeloupe has been postponed from Sunday’s scheduled 1302hrs local time gun until either Tuesday or Wednesday because of forecasted extreme weather and sea conditions in the English Channel.  https://www.routedurhum.com/en

 

Saint-Malo: 25th October – 6th November Start: Sunday 6th November at 1302hrs (CET) Guadeloupe: 11th November – 4th December

Just a few days to go to the start of the 2022 race… 138 solo sailors will set sail at 1302hrs on 6th November to cross the Atlantic between Saint-Malo and Pointe-à-Pitre. An adventure some have been dreaming about for months and others for years. A race against the elements and against the clock, the Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe will crown the fastest in each category.

Bei den IMOCA segelt neben Boris Herrmann und Isabelle Joschke auch Benjamin Dutreux mit der Guyot, also dem Schiff mit dem auch Robert Stanjek und Phillip Kasueske vom Offshore Team Germany am Ocean-Race teilnehmen wollen
