Thursday Evening Finn Racing
Each evening we have four or five short races for Force 5s and Finns. There is a separate start for each class. The Spring Series is from June 7 through July 19 and the Summer Series is July 26 through August 24, 2023. You do NOT have to be a member of Thames Yacht Club to enter these events and you can join us for just a race or two or register for the whole series. There is a nominal charge for these races which start at 6:00 pm.

55th Annual Finn Toilet Bowl Regatta
August 5 & 6, 2023
This great Finn regatta has been held for over 50 years at Willow Bank Yacht Club which is on Cazenovia Lake in the Finger Lakes area of New York State. This club has a nice fleet of Finns that have been active for many years. Bill Smith is the Finn Fleet Captain. I believe camping is allowed on Club property. This event is known for both great sailing and as a social event.

Saratoga Lake Sailing Club is a beautiful facility on Saratoga Lake that is a good racing venue and a very social club. Camping is allowed on Club property. Tony Massa, a well-known MC sailor, manages this event and does a wonderful job of it. Tony will make sure you feel welcome at this friendly club and the sailing venue is excellent. Thames River Finn Championship

A group of TYC sailors started this event last year and have decided to continue it since we had a great time last year and now have established a TYC classic Finn fleet. All of the Finns in the TYC Finn fleet are over forty years old and have been restored by their owners. This regatta will have up to six races on the Thames River with a mix of short and longer races. Last year’s regatta was very competitive in classic Finns with two former Force 5 National champions competing with the famed Gus Miller who sailed Finns in the Olympics. While the racing was competitive, the fun was even greater as this is an informal and fun regatta.
